The annual sale of pedigree Belted Galloway Cattle was led by Carolyn Fletcher of the Barwise herd at Appleby in Westmorland.

Breeding Sales like today come around more periodically than they used to, but when a strong selection comes together like that in the pens at Skipton today

Honours for top priced animal were shared between Mesrs JM&SM Priestley’s Brontemoor and Mesrs JM&SP Coopers Tomschoice herds at the Annual Craven Limousin day

The Spring sale of Pedigree British Blue Breeding Cattle known as ‘Blue Wednesday’ saw a solid entry of cattle with a good selection of mobile correct bulls

In the Native and other breeds section the most noteable price was 3200gns achieved by a Lincoln red bull from Mesrs J&E Bradley&Sons

This was the first Spring sale of Beef Shorthorn breeding cattle and the sale was supported by the Beef Shorthorn Society. Stuart and Sue Hardcastle brought a strong lineup headed up by their 2 year old well grown bull, Marrgrange Trojan
